John Fregeau

Hello! I teach Algebra P 9 and AP Calculus AB in M10. My goal is for students to see the beauty and simplicity in mathematics, and use it to interpret the world around them. This website allows you to follow what we do in class each day,  see when assignments are due and access the content materials your student needs in order to stay current with assignments when absent. Please look around; especially at the folders in my Google Drive and at  the link for student and parent access to Infinite Campus. From there you will be able to view your student's current progress this grading period. If you have any questions please email me at jfregeau@husd.us or call me at extension 61278.

Assignments:

Calendars of assignments for each subject can be accessed by students and guardians by clicking on the link in each subject page under the heading "COURSE MATERIALS." (These are still in development and should be available shortly.) Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom each week along with due dates, which can be flexible. The Google Classroom codes can be found on the appropriate subject page. Students will be alerted to new assignments through their school email account and through their classroom Google Stream. These assignments will also be posted, along with related materials, on the calendars found at the bottom of each subject's page.

Assessments:

Quizzes will be assigned periodically throughout a unit, usually at the end of a module. Tests will usually be assigned at the end of each unit. Sometimes projects may also be assigned in lieu of or in addition to formal or informal assessments. Assessment dates can be found on the assignment calendars and will be assigned through Google Classroom as well as on the course calendars, as mentioned above. Timelines for submission will be included with the assessment. These timelines can be extended or make-up assessments given if there is need.

Late Work:

Students will be given ample time to complete assessments and assignments and as previously mentioned, due dates can be flexible if the need arises. In the event that a student misses a deadline, alternative assignments or assessments made be made available. In any event, missing work should be submitted on the day of or before a Unit Test.

Accessibility:

I will send emails to parents and students on a regular basis to inform them of changes in policies, missing work, reminders, etc. I will post assignments in Google Classroom with links to materials and I will post assignments on my calendars so parents will have an overview of the assignments. I will also update my staff pages regularly with new content, links, and up-to-date information.

Students can access the classroom Google Calendar to see when assignments are due, when teachers hold office hours, and when zoom meetings are being held.

All work should be accessible by computer or cell phone. Students without access to a digital device or internet can contact the teacher for alternatives.

To view grades and attendance students and parents can access the Infinite Campus Portal.
